Frequently Asked Questions

Jackman Grossman
Drone Pilot and Mapper

I'm Jackman Grossman, a high school student and FAA-certified commercial drone pilot with a growing commitment to environmental conservation.

As I continue to explore the role of mapping in conservation, I’m especially interested in how drones, remote sensing, and open data can help communities respond to environmental challenges.

Through hands-on experience with the Barnstable Land Trust in Cape Cod, I’ve helped monitor protected areas using aerial imagery to support stewardship and land management. I also volunteer with Humanitarian OpenStreetMap, where I contribute to global disaster relief efforts by tracing satellite images and learning how geographic data informs crisis response.

InSkyte is a place to share my journey and a platform where I offer my time and skills to conservation groups and environmental organizations in need of aerial photography, mapping, or youth-driven tech support. I’m always eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute to projects in local communities, making a real-world impact.
